Katie Robinson

First class BA(Hons) in Person Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy.

I have experience providing counselling and delivering group sessions to clients who struggle to manage their anger and offer tools to help them regulate their emotions. I Also work for the NHS Mental health Helpline, offering immediate emotional support to those suffering with a mental health crisis and in some cases, collaborating with emergency services to help the service users get the help they need.

I regularly update my subject knowledge by engaging in CPD courses that equip me to aid my clients further. More recently in 2021, I underwent a working with couples and managing conflict course that now enables me to work with partners who may be experiencing difficulty.

I have a great relationship with the teenagers I work with, helping them to identify who they are and exploring their difficulties whilst educating them on emotional regulation, is a great way to bring a positive mental health experience to the younger generation.

Below are just a few examples of the areas I have worked with.

• Couples/conflict management.

• Anxiety/depression

• Family issues- estrangement and alienation cases

• Suicidal thoughts/attempts and self-harm.

• Stress and anger management.

• Grief and loss

• Drugs and alcohol addiction

• Toxic masculinity

• Historical sexual abuse

• LGBTQ+1, processing their changes and helping with discrimination.
