Mary Ramsey

I am an accredited BACP person-centred psychotherapist with over 10 years’
experience of counselling people in various settings. I have worked for a local
hospice providing pre- and post-bereavement care. I am registered with Bupa.
My usual work is communicating with people from all backgrounds and I have
experience of a broad range of psychological distress including abuse, addiction
anxiety, anger, pre- and post-bereavement, depression, self-confidence,
relationships, stress and mental health issues.
I provide a safe place in a therapeutic environment to help people become more self-
aware about how they function emotionally and to allow them to discover what they
need to do to change and feel more positive and emotionally regulated. I use my
knowledge of various theoretical approaches and strategies to enable the most
useful way to work with a person depending upon the particular circumstances as
one size does not fit all.
